Of course, you should always consult with your dentist before you decide to undergo sedation. Whatever your reasons are, your dentist at Kraisinger Family Dentistry can help you find a solution to your individual case.
Maybe you have a fear of needles, sensitive teeth or just had a really bad experience with your previous dentist. At Kraisinger Family Dentistry, we understand that it happens sometimes.
That's why we offer sedation dentistry services. What's sedation dentistry? A service where you are sedated for any dental procedure, no matter how routine. You can get your dental work done without having to fear the dentist chair!

Oral Sedation (Pill): The lowest level of sedation we administer. This type of sedation is used to numb minor pain such as a shot.
Nitrous Oxide: Also known as inhalation sedation.
Intravenous Conscious Sedation (IV): Ideal for patients with extreme anxiety or dental work that takes longer to complete.
It is common knowledge that patients may feel a sense of anxiety as they are about to undergo dental procedures.
To alleviate the fear of pain and anxiety, the dentist administers local sedation around the tooth requiring dental procedures. Once the area is completely numb, the dentist would proceed with the procedure.
